(IAWHP e.V.) is a non-profit association of specialsts in various fields connected to World Heritage protection and managment. To achieve its goal, IAWHP e.V. undertakes the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>establishing and maintaining<\/strong> <strong>professional networks <\/strong>between BTU\u2019s World Heritage Studies Alumni and other heritage professionals;<\/li>\n<li><strong>acting <\/strong><strong>as a think-tank for developing innovative approaches<\/strong> towards the protection, conservation and management of the material and immaterial aspects of cultural and natural heritage;<\/li>\n<li><strong>encouraging, planning and implementing joint research as well as other projects <\/strong>whose goals correspond to those of the association;<\/li>\n<li><strong>making the knowledge<\/strong><strong> of its members available<\/strong> to existing and potential World Heritage Sites as well as other related institutions and actors;<\/li>\n<li><strong>creating a<\/strong> <strong>database of information<\/strong> concerning the protection of heritage sites worldwide as well as other relevant\u00a0<strong>conferences, educational opportunities and job offers <\/strong>for the benefit of its members; and<\/li>\n<li><strong>informally assisting and advising students<\/strong> of the World Heritage Studies Master\u2019s Programme at Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus in reaching their study objectives and their entry into the workforce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h1>Membership<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>For members, the IAWHP e.V. serves as an institutional basis for the organisation and implementation of projects that are in line with the aims of the organisation. IAWHP e.V. is officially registered as a non-profit organisation in accordance with German Law with its headquarters in Cottbus, Germany (Registration Number: VR 4872 CB).<br \/>Any questions e-mail us: <a href=\"mailto:members@iawhp.com\">members@iawhp.com<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Becoming a Member<br \/><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Following the statute of the International Association of World Heritage Professionals e.V., the following categories are eligible to become members of the association:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>alumni of the World Heritage Studies Programme of the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus<\/li>\n<li>alumni of any other related Master\u2019s or Doctorate level academic programme related to the protection, management and interpretation of heritage in its many forms regardless of professional and\/or academic background.<\/li>\n<li>professionals involved in the protection, management and interpretation of heritage in its many forms, regardless of academic background, particularly those who work with World Heritage as defined by the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to become a member, you will be required to download, fill up and <a href=\"https:\/\/iawhp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/IAWHP-Memb-Appl-no_footer.pdf\"><strong>submit the IAWHP e.V. Membership Application form<\/strong><\/a> to <a href=\"mailto:members@iawhp.com\">members@iawhp.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once the membership application and membership fee have been received, your application will be reviewed by the Board. Once approved, you will receive the payment details and an official membership confirmation letter along with your membership number. The annual membership fee is <b>20 EUR<\/b>.<br \/>Should your application not be accepted you will be notified and the fee will be refunded.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Renewing your Membership <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you are already a member and you wish to renew your membership please remember to pay the annual membership fee to our account.
